This project explores the topic of ‘pinkwashing’—a practise whereby companies promote gay-friendliness in an attempt to benefit or to downplay any negative aspects of the company. I formed a group and designed the visual identity with the intention of attending Pride parades and broadcasting the message that a) Pride originated as a protest, and b) if companies are supporting the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride month, this support must be genuine. To communicate this message, I designed a typeface that draws elements from both protest and party.
